abandon all hope, all ye who enter here? ok, not really. it's just the home of stephen king, nothing to fear. located at 47 west broadway in bangor, maine on a very quiet street. strolling along, nothing seems out of the ordinary...or does it. wrought iron gates in the shape of spider webs guarded by bats and three headed dragon type creatures, you almost don't notice them. standing on the sidewalk in front of his home. the man. the myth. the legend. i was in awe. honestly, i was a little caught off guard that it was so...so...unassuming. the guy must be a gazillionaire, and yet he lives here. he probably goes to book club with the locals and plays b-ball in the park with the neighborhood kids. it made me love him even more. if you decide to visit...make sure you spend some time checking out all the detail that went into that fence. (but please don't climb the fence!) nothing else seemed out of the ordinary. no monsters, no creepy clowns, no zombie cats or gages. no vampires or prison inmates. weird, right? i did run into other fans taking selfies with mr. king's home. and let's just say, i wasn't the weirdest thing on the street in front of mr. king's house that day.
