okay. i have zero information on what this place is (or used to be). i was driving out of jim thorpe, pennsylvania up a road that i was sure was heading in the opposite direction from what i wanted to go, so i pulled off to the side to make a u-turn. in the bushes on the side, i noticed a sign protruding every so slightly. turned my car around and decided to hop out and see what it could be. still have no clue. there's a sign, describing some sort of a mountain ride that is propelled by gravity and your own weight. at first i was thinking zipline, but then it started talking about climbing in the car so it lost me. because the sign is so old, it was pretty fungusy (is that even a word?) so it was almost unreadable. so that's all i got. i searched the net. nothing. so if there is anyone who stumbles upon this blog post and knows what the heck this might be, please enlighten me! still very glad i stopped though. see? you never know what you'll find in the bushes.
there was a cute little brook/stream running along right next to the stone steps and pilings i found. accross the stream there were also some more concrete stones (broken up) so i am assuming it was part of the ride? who knows? it's a mystery waiting to be solved, i guess. on to my next adventure...
