driving down route 9 outside of seaville, nj and then this happens. out of nowhere looms a whole field filled with brightly colored doors. (my mind immediately went to monsters inc.) this required an immediate u turn, because how could i not? upon closer inspection, i realized that some were just painted, others had scripture written on them.
this is one of my favorite photos yet, and i totally found this place by accident. sometimes, i think some of the most interesting things are the ones you don't expect to see.
now, i was reading some of the scripture on each of the doors, but one in particular caught my eye. it said 'knock and the door will be opened to you.' which isn't really all that ominous until you see the bloody (or what appears to be bloody, but i am sure it's just red paint, i hope) miniature hand prints along the bottom of the door. this whole thing seemed to be a very sweet gesture...until the bloody handprints. of all the paint colors in the world why would you use red?? anyway, i won't be knocking on this door any time soon. i urge you to drive out and see this for yourself, it's quite a site. and if you are really feeling randy, stop in the cemetery next door (haha, next door, see what i did there??) yes, that's right, i said cemetery. i am not sure what all of this was supposed to mean, i am just glad i got to experience it. so thank you miniature bloody handed people for leaving this odd attraction on the side of the road for me to witness. i appreciate it (and folks like you) more than you know! feel free to check out my facebook page for other photos www.facebook.com/roamingzombiegnome on to my next adventure...
