it was a nice day out, so i thought checking out some of the sights local to my home town would be a great way to spend the day. cape may is more like a 40 minute drive from where i actually live, but you get my catch my drift. the cape may lighthouse is located in cape may point state park. just keep driving on the garden state parkway heading south until you get to exit 0. that's exit zero and you will find directions taking you to what seems like a remote area, but it's not. the place is flooded with tourists in the summer time, for good reason. you can find it at 215 lighthouse ave. it was built in 1859 and still serves mariners today, keeping them from meeting a salty death (or just from keeping them from running aground, whatever...i prefer to say salty death). you can climb to the top. i didn't, but you can. i had more fun standing on the dunes pretending to eat it. gnomezilla attacks! feel free to check out my page on facebook to see more photos www.facebook.com/roamingzombiegnome on to my next adventure...
