so this is the first thing i see when i roll into town. i knew right away i was going to like it here! first things first...rehobeth beach is very pet friendly, even on the boardwalk. you can tell when an establishment is pet friendly when you see a food or water bowl (or both) out in front of the store. i walked up and down the boardwalk and noticed that most places were this way. and everyone is friendly. the day i made my visit was actually easter sunday (i know, the irony!) and i wasn't here long but i can tell you this, i loved it. it's a typical boardwalk shore town with one exception...you'll notice all the rainbow flags, which is why i believed the place to be so layed back and easy going/friendly.
up on the boardwalk, there are many unique and quirky shops, like most beach towns have. i didn't find any shop in particular that caught my eye but there are many, many places that sell quirky little items that you most certainly won't find at any other beach town (or at least none that i've been too, anyway. i did find zoltar. i made my wish but as you can see, i didn't get big. maybe he expected me to wish for something else, dunno. lots of pizza places, fresh cut fries, ice cream, more food than you can imagine (brains too!)
these poor guys were trying to take a cutesy cutesy easter photo. i couldn't help myself, i had to photobomb. and in my opinion, this is the very best photo bomb ever (or at least so far). i did pop in a cool little bar called the purple parrot grill. they had a beer garden. need i say more? it is considered to be a gay bar (or at least that's what my new friend, joshua, told me. but don't be afraid, the staff (and patrons) are all extremely friendly and it's a fun atmosphere. when you order a drink, this is how it may be handed to you...
so if by any chance that you may be possibly offended, i would tell you to skip the purple parrot (but you will seriously be missing out on a fun time!), in fact you may want to skip rehobeth altogether, which would be a crying shame, because it really is a great little town. on to my next adventure...
