seacrets bar and restaurant located in ocean city, md. if you can't afford to go to jamaica, this is a pretty close second. nestled on the beach on the bay side of ocean city on 117 49th street with tiki bars and white sand as far as the eye can see...and if that wasn't enough, live palm trees (that are shipped in every year). have a seat at a table, the tiki bar or grab a table or tube in the bay and make sure you order up one of those specialty drinks. my favorite is the dirty banana (tasted just like a milkshake!) or if your feeling randy, a big bamboo (just be careful, they sneak up on you!) they have a full menu, complete with jerk chicken.
there's a stage on the beach (don't worry, there are two or three tiki bars within a stone's throw nearby)....during the day the place is family friendly, but it heats up after dark so get the kiddos home before the sun sets. get your pictures taken in a jamaican bobsled (which i wasn't able to do because during the winter months they close off some of the outside areas and that part wasn't open to the public yet. they even have their own hotel so you can book a room and stumble home (about a hundred yards from the front door) safely. but be sure to take the ocean city shuttle (i like to call it the 'drunk bus') if you've had a little too much fun and are not staying within walking distance ($2 for an all day pass! woohoo!!) www.seacrets.com make sure you check out their website to see the full menu and hotel options along with a souvenier shop and maybe listen to their radio station...ire radio 98.1 (yes they have their own radio station, tower and all) i had some fun, met some cool people and i was only in town for 24 hours, but it felt like a whole weekend...well worth a visit!
please feel free to contact me with any questions or if you have any interesting tid bits about seacrets that you would like to share. on to my next adventure....
